    Thanks in advance:)

There is a thread somewhere on this Sligo board about the favourite restaurants in Sligo..... I can't find it right now.
    I would recommend:
Lemongrass in the Clarence Hotel. The Venue, Strandhill and Thai Jasmine restaurant...... I keep forgetting what the old hotel was called (someone help me out here, please).

    1. Montmarte old fashioned traditonal french food with buttery sauces.
    2. Donaghys Good for steaks and fish.
    3. Shenanigans, Blinging newcomer witha similar menu to Donaghys
4 Silver Apple on Lord Edward St. The room is a little dated but Louise Kennedy cooks up a storm and it is by far the best value in the town centre
    5. Popadom Modern Indian with A rather austere atmosphere.
6.Bistro Bianconi Faux Italian food, it is redeemed by its excellent atmoshere service and decor.
    7. The Venue strandhill suberb value casual eating
    8. Fiddlers Creek over priced and over rated but still very popular.
    9. Sakura. The closest thing to authenthic Chinese food in Sligo, be warned the room is a bit functional.
    10. Er thats it

Sakura also has a part that is open during the day and it specialises in sushi - Delish!!

If you don't mind travelling then go to Crumlich Lodge (spelling is wrong) about a twenty minute drive. Best service and food in sligo.

In my opinion, the best restaurant I've been to in Sligo in the last few years has to be the newly opened Henry's in Cashelgarron(7.5 miles north of Sligo on the Bundoran rd.)

Went there with my girlfriend a couple of weeks ago and it was everything you could ask for in a restaurant..beautifully decorated, not too big or small, friendly staff, great food and very good value. 10 out of 10

We told them that we will recommend this gem at every chance we get.

Heard good things about Clevery Mill in Castlebaldwin. Turn right and right again after the filling station.
I found Caesars to be good. The food is authentic Italian and the prices are fair. Coach Lane is nice. Hard to fault it except a little pricey. Montmartre is very nice too. Easy to park at, nice atmosphere and lovely food. Highly recommended.

The Waterfront Restaurant in Rosses Point, good all round.

if your into chinese the Manderin Court is fantastic. Its real chinese food ran by a chinese man. Its unreal. Portions are fantastic. Sakura is a little dated and food very tacky. Not real chinese.

Yeats Tavern in Drumcliffe is nice. It has everything on the menu. Always busy so you know the food is fresh not something in the freezer for the last 6 months!

Bistro Bianconi is beautiful aswell, a little expensive and very hard to get booked. they only take 25% bookings and the rest is just first come first served and that means you could be waiting for up to 2 hours. Happened to us a few times. but very cosy. One of my fav's.

Henrys is only new open im from that area and its hit and miss.

    Guys,
    Try to widen your horizons.
Langs of Grange serves good food in a relaxed atmosphere. Don't take my word for it; try it for yourself.
