If they do I'll write someone a blank cheque for it. Sick of leaving the house with silky straight hair and looking like an unwashed miscreant who slept in a bush by the time I get into work.

the body shops macademia (sp) nuts straightening balm, and their leave in conditioner...can't member what fruit's in that one, lil pricey if you're a cheap student but I love em! You'll still be rockin the windswept look but you don't look quite so like you've been dragged backward through a bush!

I use em like so, come out of the shower, towel on head for about 5-10 mins, remove towel, rub in a squirt or two of conditioner, leave for a few more minutes, then about 5mins before you dry your hair stick in the balm, dry, leave for another few minutes and straighten. Seems like a lengthy process I know but I find giving each product a few minutes between uses gives your hair time to settle and really absorb the stuff

I find Mark Hill De Frizz serum is great for keeping my hair straight on a night out or in the wind. Its about 9euro and it should last you ages. I usually put it on my hair after I've straightened it, tends to keep it in place without looking greasy.

Or you could wear a hat, OP!
Nothing is going to keep your hair poker straight in the wind and rain.
