    Hey there,
    I'm heading to Paris for the Arc this weekend, have never been before. Has anyone here been there before? Is it a good day out? Do they have different betting procedures over there?

    Any advice much appreciated :-)

    I was there last year. Great day out. Very cheap to get in too, it was ~€4 for an Adult I think, we had enclosure passes so we didn't have to pay but I remember remarking on how cheap it was.

    As for betting, there are no bookmakers only the french tote, and its mad busy so I'd say do your bets for the day once you get in there or even better, call into a bookies back home and ack whatever you want there.

    There are a couple of threads on this already if you use the search function for the forum and type in Prix de L'Arc de Triomphe.

    Edit: Some good stuff in this thread > http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=2055145859&highlight=Prix+L%27Arc+Triomphe

    Don't forget horses by the same trainer in the same race are grouped together.

    Going for;

    Youmzain 1pt e/w @ 12/1
    Duke Of Marmalade 2pts win @ 4/1

    Hoping "Eye-Den O'Bry-enn" (Funniest thing ever last year at Longchamps hearing the announcer trying to pronounce Aiden O'Briens name) can repeat last years success. I'm kinda sad I'm not going this year, its some day, I remember Scotland were playing Argentina in the Rugby World Cup that night too and the craic in Paris was unreal.
