Great first post, lovely scene and well composed, I like the light coming through the trees.

On my monitor, it looks a little washed out. Have you tried darkening it a little and bumping up the contrast slightly to give it a bit more oomph. If you have access to curves tool in photoshop or similar program to give the mid tones a little more 'body'.

    Keep posting!:)

Ya dakar I think your right, knew there was something lacking with it but couldn't figure it out, I use Aperture 2 to convert my RAW, will try photoshop curves later. Thanks for your comment.

Where is this place exactly. I've worked in Innishannon and pass through it regularly when hitting West Cork but have never heard of it, well at least i think i haven't.

    Lovely pic!

I think Shippool is halfway between Kinsale and Innishannon

Its about 2 miles from Innishannon on the Kinsale road, You'll see the castle ruins on your right, just follow the path down into the woods and its about a 5 minute walk from there.

    Ah I have you now!
I was thinking more over on the Brinny side.
Might take a look, the next time I head down to Kinsale.
