would i lose the apps i have already downloaded it?
    is there any point?
what will it give me that i cant get now?
    is it safe?

also, can you view pdf's on the itouch as it is?

You can can't jailbreak the new touches so that throws that idea out the window......in my opinion jailbreaking is still worth it, mainly for custom themes, after that the app store as pretty much everything covered.

Not really.... compared to some of the freely available JB apps Apple's appstore is weak! and at least with JB any app goes, whereas Apple's appstore is sorta similar to a communist regime ;) but it's great if you like onscreen lighter apps, or and onscreen glass of beer that really empties as you mimic drinking it :pac:
