Are you open to buying from the States? I bought my dress from America for 1,000 eur less than it cost here. If you buy from one of the bigger bridal shops over there you'll get the exact dress (not copies like from China or somewhere) for a fraction of the price.

Bestbridalprices.com do that dress. You just need to call them to get a price - I bet you'll get a big surprise at how cheap it is there.

I spotted this on adverts.ie as well - its second hand, in Ireland

Highly recomend going the US route - they even through in a veil and shoes on bestbridalprices.com ! If you do go down that route just make sure you use the size charts to work out your size and don't just pick your normal size - US sizes are different to ours, normally a bit smaller.

thanks sillysocks! i am very tempted but just a tad nervous that it won't be right! did you have to pay tax on yours or anything? i am going to new york in January, do you think it would be worth waiting and looking there or is over the internet the best bet? hearing you got yours there does tempy me! did you get your bridesmaids the same way? i am trying to cut down on the expensive of this wedding, so any little way helps. thanks again :D

When is the wedding fruit and nut? I had a good bit of time so was relaxed buying it online because I knew if anything was wrong I had time to send it back!

I think www.rkbridal.com is the main place in NY that ship to Ireland but don't think they do Essence dresses. If youve picked the dress in Ireland I dont think there's too much benefit to get from visiting the shop over ordering from here.

i was lucky because I had a friend in NY I got the dress shipped to and she brought it home so got postage free (it was free within the US) and didn't have to pay customs but it still would have been way cheaper. I think the customs can be up to 33% extra but most of the shops will put a lower value or sample on the package so you might not have to pay as much.

Òbviously I can't talk for everyone but my experience of online was really great - they even had the dress sent within a month! Lots of girls over on weddingsonline.ie bought online too and have only heard good things!
I didn't get bridesmaids dresses at same time - got them in Monsoon with 70% off :D (before I'd even bought my own)

Why not ring bestbridalprices.com and find out how much the dress and postage is - then you can see if its worth it! Until u know how much it is its hard to decide.
