Laptop screw up

Hi,

I spilled some liquid into my laptop. Like an idiot. WinXP.

It still boots ok, but the Number 1 key isn't working (I had to use fn+f11 to turn on num lock).

Now, on my own profile, which is also the admin profile, there are two instances of the digit one for the password to get in, and fn+f11 to turn on num lock doesn't seem to be working at the password prompt.

Is there a way to change the admin password.

Heh, seemingly the question mark key is also affected, but that's not so bad.

This is my laptop, the other guy who's profile I'm logged in under doesn't know my Boards password.

Does the number lock key itself not function? If it does you could turn it on using that and then use the J key as your number 1.

Go into safe mode (keep tapping f8 at start up). From here enter the administrator account and you can then you can remove the password from both accounts. A usb keyboard should work as well.

Buy a cheap usb number pad I had the same problem as youself got 1 in lidl for 4.99 yoyos a while back
