    Hey guys,

    I'm not really sure what I wanna do yet, but I think it will be something to do with business or computers preferably computers. I was looking at IT but I need a science which I dont have :(. I was just wondering is there any other computer courses I could get in to? I was looking at Business Information systems and read some of the thread down below a bit and seems pretty good.

    I would appreciate all the help possible, cheers :D

    could do what i did and do a BA in economics and IT. that itself wont generate much in terms of career opportunities, but it opens many doors to the various master's within both areas.

    sidenote: anyone else think it's a bit ridiculous that the B.Sc.IT needs a science subject? the only one that would be perhaps useful is physics, but even so most people in IT won't go near that kind of highly specialised area.

    Also thinking the IT through BA route or MIS.

    @leninbenjamin
    They should make incoming first years have physics more than any other science subject! They only do physics for one semester but there's so much that goes back to it, with truth tables (comes under an option for LC physics) and the like.

    The BSc is a Science degree (even though the department is in Engineering) so you have to have done some sort of science in secondary school as a pre requisite.

    I did a year of IT 2 years ago. Not fun. At all. Doing BIS now, enjoying it a lot more!! IT is [first year anyways] very much maths based so if you [like me] arent great at maths, you will struggle, big time.

    BIS on the other hand? No maths in first year!! Huzzah!
