Torn a ligament in BJJ a few weeks ago, it's the inner ligament on my right leg. Seen a doctor, told me it would be ok in a few weeks etc. It's getting better but very slow. I was told a physio could tell me excersies etc to do on it to quicken the healing and prevent scar tissue. But I've been told that physio's can be good and bad, depending on their experience. So, can anyone recommend one ? And what kind of costs are invovled ?

David Fitzgerald in Blanch is excellent has a nice set up there to with his own little gym and stuff for rehab work. Has pics of boxers everywhere and a few bags so he would nt be the kind of physio who would send you away once you can walk.

Mike Carswell in Blackrock, Physical Therapist - helped me out after years of neck problems to be right as rain. About 85 euro for a 1hr session, but the best I've been to, and I've been to f*ckin loads!

The sports and spine physiotherapy in dublin city is brillint - ive been there for knee, shin & back problems (all seperately) - had a back issue a chiropractor, neuro muscular massage or regular massage just wouldnt sort, went there and 2 days later - fixed. If they think what you have will need surgery, theres no beating about the bush, they will tell you straight. Its near wexford st so very central & have lots of physios in there.
