Powermac G4 AGP - wireless help needed

Bit of a strange problem in fact two problems, maybe someone can help me please?

    Problem 1:
Some months ago I bought a Powermac G4 AGP and fitted a Safecom SWLPR-5400 wireless card which loaded up fine and I could operate wirelessly from the broadband eircom router.

However, last week I relocated the mac back into the same room as the main pc and router and my Mac OSX system now is not able to operate wirelessly. In fact it does not even list the card as being in its pc slot. I have tried to re-seat the card in the slot and othe other two slots, and have even swopped in a friend's Netgear Wireless card in its place but the OS does not recognise that card either?

It is highly unlikely that either or both cards have been damaged so I'm wondering why the Tiger OS does not recognise the cards?

    Problem 2:
When the SafeCom card was working I recall having to input the encryption code in a window prompt box under network connections. However, I am now having difficulty locating this window prompt box in any area of the network connections screens and am wondering if anyone knows how I can access this prompt to input the code?

Any help or ideas to resolve these issues would be appreciated.
    Thanks,
    A.

It'd be nice if you told us how. Someone else may have the same problem in the future and might search and find this thread.

Of course if it was a Homer moment and you'd rather stay quiet 'bout it, we'll understand ;):D
