Rainbow Falls C&C

Taken at the bottom of the main cascade at Glencar Waterfall, Co. Leitrim. Not the easiest shot to get physically, I had to wade up the stream and clamber some of the smaller falls on the river (not in amcinroy's class I grant you but effort none the less:)).

Also I have to try and figure out the conditions for this shot to try and get it right, cos you only get the spray rainbow (spraybow?)with bright sunshine and that throws half the cascade in deep shadow and half in bright sunshine, so consider this a work in progress. This one was taken in the early afternoon, I'll have to keep trying different times, angles of sun etc. Could keep me busy for a while.

Any tips for how to make this better would be appreciated!

Not sure of the EXIF, don't have opanda on my work 'puter but D300, Aperture priority, small ap!, ND4, tripod etc!

Yes I tried a few, but didn't really see what I wanted until I got them loaded up to the computer. I knew I had the rainbow but wasn't sure about the rest of the shot. Now that I have a better idea of what exactly I want to achieve, it'll be a question of going back at different times of the day, and times of year until I get the right combination of circumstances!

Incidentally, that's quite a low flow for this waterfall, it will be much to dangerous to negotiate a way to the bottom of the falls when it's at full tilt.

Does anyone know if a polariser is a better option for photographing rainbows?
