I've just booked a trip to Lanzarote for me & my better half; specifically Costa Teguise, for Christmas. I spent hours reading about things to do on the island, the likelihood of rain, National Park etc and decided to go for it. I've never been before and have some concerns about being overrun by rowdy families with lots of mouthy kids everywhere. The hotel I booked was rated highly for couples and is away from the beach. Has anyone experience of the Costa Teguise area at Christmas or any input on the Hotel Beatriz? Would appreciate your comments.

Stayed in Costa Teguise in December a few years ago - but not in Hotel Beatriz. It's a man-made resort, with a couple of nice beaches. The sea is great for snorkeling. Lots of bars and restaurants so you won't go hungry or thirsty. It was quiet enough when we were there, but that was early December so I'd say it's a lot more lively around Christmas. Even though it's warm during the day it gets very chilly at night so bring a fleece or a jacket.

There's a good market in the old town of Teguise on a Sunday - it's a bus ride away and it's a nice place to ramble around.

Didn't love it or hate it - it was an okay place to spend a week in the sun but wouldn't be rushing back.

Hi, I've never been at Christmas so I can't help you there.
We have a place in Costa Teguise, nea the Hotel Beatrix and if you want a quiet relaxing holiday without the hordes roaming around, that's the place to go. I've heard good reports of the hotel from people who have stayed there.

Have a great time if you go, at least you're nearly guaranteed some sunshine :)
