you won't be able to use sample essays in the real thing, so try to go get into the habit.

Its a creative writing essay, so it's not too difficult.
And the title is really open.

Take something that you feel really strongly about, like extra pressure on students, young being being taken advantage of in the workplace, the price of drink etc, and just write. I'ts so easy to write about something you feel passionately about :)

What i would suggest is preparing for the essay based on the picture question.... you are given a good few pictures, and odds are you can relate to the title of your essay to one of the pictures..... that way you have loads of time to prepare..... This doesnt mean that you shouldnt do any other style essay your teacher gives for homework though. Every piece of work handed back to you is invaluable when it comes to subject such as english. Also try and read.

Read read read read. Anything and everything, newspaper, novels, plays, scripts, internet articles, blogs, it will stand by you on the day of the exam

Just to point out that this year the examiners are coming down hard on pre learned stuff for your short story so you have one prepared you might want to think twice about using it.

If your going for the discussion essay like you are here make sure your up to date with the world around you dont just write a discussion that makes no sense and more importantly DO NOT WRITE A DISCUSSION WHERE YOUR MAIN ARGUMENT IS BASED ON YOUR PERSONAL EXPERIENCE

That title is as broad as you can get. Pick anything ffs.

Drugs, family, bullying, school life, leaing cert, friends, peer pressure, sport, role models/idols/celebrities/famous people......just a few options of the top of my head.

Also, get a revision book to help you and perhaps a grind. Sorted.

if your not good at english it's as simple as that

it's a combination of getting the structure and answering the question asked coupled with a strong command of language that will get an A1

learning off essays is just going to make your ability go down because you won't be getting creative

just pratice and you will be awarded
    !

    :D

You'd be much better served to find something you do like about English, focus on that area, and then apply the same techniques to areas of the subject at which you feel weak. Complaining about how much you hate something will do little more than just vent a little bit of frustration. If you want to do well in the subject you'll have to actually apply yourself a bit more. Sample essays are only worthwhile if they're showing you how to apply best writing-practices; they should not be submitted as your own (supposedly) original work.
