Where are you coming from and for what?

If it's for a big crowd at a match I'd suggest parking in the city and walking out for anyone that has to pass through the city, coming from the west I'd suggest parking on the Ennis Road.

There's limited parking near the stadium but it's in the estates and can be a bit of a bottle neck with larger traffic volumes.

I am coming from kerry for both next week Munster v Glasgow and the following Friday night for Munster v Mauntaban in HC

It's a 15 min walk from the Dock Road and it's close to a 40 min drive back out after the match if you park near the grounds. My advice is come in along the Dock road and turn it face home and park and walk to the grounds.

If you want to try and get a bit closer on Friday night to experiment with, try driving to the Ennis Road and parking there, 5 min walk, but a lot of traffic heading back out over the bridge after the match

I know some people park there while attending matches but I'm sure the Jetland or Woodies don't want 26,000 people parking there.

I hear Bus Eireann are running shuttle buses (fare payable on the bus) to TP from the city so parking in or near the city should be an option.

*** sorry for dragging up an old thread **** but, just wondering what the best options are for parking for the upcoming Munster, Leinster game on Good Friday?

Travelling from Dublin for the match. Somewhere close to the stadium would be preferable, but don't mind city centre options either..

Are there shuttle buses from city centre to thomond?

a handy place to park is outside the school opposite supervalu on grove island, its about 15 mins walk to the ground and there is always space there.

you are as fast walking from the city center to the ground as you are getting a shuttle bus, with a friday night kick off the traffic is gonna be nuts, best leave dublin about lunchtime

its on good friday though, so i'd imagine traffic mightn't be as bad? 8.05 kick off. Is lunchtime a little early?

Leave at 3 o clock , you would be in Limerick for 6 easily. Plenty of time to park and stroll to the ground for Holy Communion.

Usually, but Good Friday may not be usually, they run a Park and Ride from the Kilmurry Lodge, Castletroy.

I think you could drive to the city and park up on the Dublin Rd, before crossing the bridges, walk (15 mins max) to the ground, you will certainly save it on the walk back, traffic after the match in manic.

it'll be the munster / leinster match on 02 april. i reckon there'll be a crowd. still undecided on whether we'll stay over or not so if there's parking options all the better.

don't mind walking a short distance to the stadium (often walk from o'connell street out to the aviva in dublin).

i keep getting mixed reports on how far the city centre is etc otherwise i'd nearly consider a 24hour multistory in there if they had one.

If you're doing a day trip then best to park on the Dublin rd side of the river, it's only about a 10-15 minute walk. You could also use the tunnel (tolled) and park between the stadium and Caherdavin. Most of the housing estates will be manned by gardai to prevent match day parking. Some people park in Dunnes Stores or Woodies car park.

If you're overnighting then depending on which hotel you should park in the hotel and walk to the grounds and enjoy a few drinks.

Ive got access to get tickets through Leinster Season Ticket.
Which is the best stand for seating or standing and where do the away team (Leinster) usually go for?

Thinking of driving down and back same day based on the parking advice here.

Best terrace is the East, followed by the West. Usually a group of Leinster fans will meet being the posts on the North terrace. Stand wise they are much of a muchness, I perfer the West as the wind is usually coming from behind you and you get more shelter.

Cheers, I went for the West Terrace.
