Is there steel in Precast flue gatherers?

I want to increase the height of the existing chimney ope by cutting 25-40 mm from the front bottom lip of the precast flue gatherer that is in-situ.

The stand alone stove that is going in requires the additional clearance.

Am I lightly to meet any steel?

    Any other observations welcomed.
    Thanks
