I really want one of these ,but there doesn't seem to be anyway of changing the battery in it.

    Anyone know if it's possible?

Not that I can see (using one now). Why would you want to do that?

I have a laser mouse, it takes Rechargeable Li-Ion batteries, and when the batteries run out, I always have a spare set fully charged, otherwise I'd have to wait an hour to recharge the 1st set.

You must be able to replace them?!

No slagging - but I have three of these; 1 in work and 2 at home on desktop and docking station/laptop. They are a fantastic mouse! No battery issues and very rearely have to be charged. They are around a while too and have lasted the test of time - no other mice to touch them.

That's simply not necessary here. They last a few weeks between charges for me - and you can even pop it into the included desktop stand for charging when not in use.

The battery has a three year life span ,but I suppose after three years you'd want a new one anyways.

Thanks for sharing this find ,I'm off to get one.:)

I got one these a few months back. It's a good mouse but there are a few issues. You can't replace the battery (Logitech say return it to them). And the scroll wheel has a major design fault: the rubber around it will eventually expand and become loose, causing the wheel to slow down — putting an end to the "free spin" feature. Logitech are refusing to acknowledge this problem despite many angry posters on their support forum.

Battery life has deteriorated quite a bit since I bought it at the end of June. I only get about 2/3 days max out of it now. Recharging is easy though.

Yeah, it doesn't look particularly comfortable ergonomically. Probably usable but not ideal

Just a thought, looking at that photo, sometimes the screws are under the rubber pads, or the Logitech label. Peel them back and you could probably unscrew the base and replace the battery.

I found an article late last night ,about changing the battery in the mouse. Basically it can be done ,but you loose the rubber feet in the process.

A G7 battery fits it perfectly.

I don't have a link as I found the site on another machine:(

I have one of these at work. Its the second one, as the first one was sent back because it wouldn't charge. This one was working really well for a few months, but then the cursor started jumping all over the place - as if the trackball is dirty - but then the mouse is optical! I don't know how to fix it, and I gave up on it and now I am back to using the touchpad of the laptop.

    Superb mouse, when it works..!

Got one of these today but can't find the settings to change the buttons on the mouse.
The thumb wheel and 2 small buttons on the side have no function at the moment.

Probably not a great gaming mouse I'd say. Looks to clunky...

I went from a microsoft lasermouse 6000 to this ,initially it wasn't as comfortable. But after getting use to it ,it's a joy to use.

The left thumb wheel is very handy for switching windows in vista.

Hi. Got my little gem today, Thanks for the heads up. Rapid Delivery too.

Only ordered on Monday. and collected from Interlink this morning. Whoo.

Only problem is though, i was belting away on COD4, and every now and then the mouse would hang. I found its due to the mouse mat.

Can anyone recommend a GOOD mousemat for a LASER mouse.

    Cheers

Buying mouses and keyboards, I never order anything other than Logitech. Worth every penny. If Logitech died in the morning, my next option would be Trust, but I hope that never happens.

    Logitech are brilliant.
