I use benefit at the weekend (going out) and just plain old carmex in the week (find this stuff brilliant!)

For day time make-up I use The Body Shop's lipbalm which is glossy and tastes yummy! By night I use one by Estee Lauder, haven't a clue of the name! On a regular old day it's all about Lush's Chocolate Whipstick.

i say use carmex lipbalm for a while untill your lips are back to shape, and whenever they'er better again dap a little carmex on before you put on your lipgloss - it really helps..
most lipglosses i'v tried do tend to dry out my lips if i dont use a little lip balm too

I love clinique superbalms (moisterising gloss, only about 15euro for 15ml I think). Use a lipbalm under your gloss befor you reaply. Nivea repair (green tube) is good and cheap, maybe get a lip treatment (vit. e, shea butter etc) for the moment until it clears up, also slather on something thick and moisterising and use a toothbrush to massage away flakes.

Nars 'Turkish Delight' lipgloss. It's lovely. Also Mac's Lipglass.

Clinique superbalm, makes your lips feel really smooth and glossy but not too sticky. Have 6 colours of it. :o

Hmm, must try clinique superbalm - I wear lip gloss all day every day and am always on the hunt for new brands to try out. I only ever wear a very frosty pink though as my eyes are usually dark, and find it hard to get that shade in a lot of brands.

Clinique are really impressing me with everything I try of theirs lately. Their mascara is unbelievable and yesterday i invested in some foundation and an amazing glow finish powder that's light and gorgeous. In think they're far ahead of Mac, though I do like the Mac lip gloss. It's a bit sticky on me but lasts for a while. A good idea for going out especially is to get a lipstick that matches the shade of your gloss and paint it on first with a brush. That way the gloss has something to cling to and lasts ages.

Sorry meant to say that at the moment I use the Boots number 17 brand gloss in pink ice and it's as handy as any for everyday use and nice and cheap. I'm constantly pained by paying twelve euro and upwards for a gloss the length of half my little finger. Isa Dora do a lovely pink gloss too and although it's very sticky it lasts ages.

I love bourjois 3d effect. They go on really smooth and do not have that sticky feel that alot of lip glosses do.

Rimmel Vinyl Stars Mirror Shine, it's gorgeous, lovely sheen off it, doesn't dry out your lips either.. and it's only about a fiver..

How's your lips now, getting better?

I used to have dry scaly lips few years ago, then I use Mentholatum lip balm and it really helps. As for lip gloss I'm using Maybelline shinylicious for everyday use and really like it because it gives my pout natural colour and shine without overdoing it and doesn't darken or dry my lips. Alternatively, I use vaseline to gloss and moisture my lips.

I'd like to recommend you to only wear lipbalm or moisturizer for this time being, see if the rash getting lesser. Good luck.

yeah the rash has finally cleared, about time! :p i stopped using lipgloss altogether till it disappeared and only used Labello. I'm going to look about getting some decent lipgloss, it's a better idea to put the bit extra to it and buy a good brand instead! :)

Thats very good, I'm happy to know that :). Yeah I agree with you. I dont mind using any brand for eyeshadow and blusher, but when it comes to lipstick and lipgloss and face powder I'm very particular. Dont want to get dark scaly lips, pimples, rashes and irritating skin.. ;)
