..had a small op yesterday, so am recovering today.

Anyway, not allowed to do anything, so am bored out of my tree. Living in 4-channel land, choices are limited, so took to the DVD rack......

1986 World Rally Championship (full). Gosh. Back when men were men, and spectators were mad, and all cars had....clutches and gearlevers. 205T16's, Audi Quattro's, Lancia Delta S4', 6R4's and in amongst all these, something I never noticed before........Jean Ragnotti running in the top 10 in..........Renault 11 Turbo.. Holy crumbs, now there's a car that fell off the radar........

Almost as much as the guy in the Uno Turbo.......!

Oh, and another thing: bring back night rallying !!

“And my existence, while grotesque and incomprehensible to you, generates funds to the exchequer. You don't want to acknowledge that as truth because, deep down in places you don't talk about at the Green Party, you want me on that road, you need me on that road. We use words like freedom, enjoyment, sport and community. We use these words as the backbone of a life spent instilling those values in our families and loved ones. You use them as a punch line. I have neither the time nor the inclination to explain myself to a man who rises and sleeps under the tax revenue and the very freedom to spend it that I provide, and then questions the manner in which I provide it. I would rather you just said "thank you" and went on your way. Otherwise I suggest you pick up a bus pass and get the ********* ********* off the road”

They were some boys alrite, far too young to actually remember it but must have watched every vid on youtube. Absolute crazyness from the fans, teams and especially the drivers.

Watching a Group B Manta there a week or two ago after getting a spin home in one the night before in a very poor state from one of the lads.

    Some afternoon delight.
