Just wondering is there anything you can buy out there, for hard cases to take the weight off your hands with resorting to a gigbag? I was thinking of getting photographer straps with the clips on them. The weight would be on my back and shoulder.

    Thanks
    Steve

Hmm... not quite an attachment for a hardcase but a different kind of case. SKB and a few other case companies make "soft cases". They fill the gap between gigbags and hardcases. The SKB ones have back straps on them too. They make them for basses also.

Guess the only other option is to head over to the fitness forum! :p

On a related note, I weighed one of my basses in it's hardcase recently with a few other things (tuner and cable). The weight was about 26lbs! (12Kg)

I wouldn't be surprised, trying to carry mine around in a hard case was a bit too much too. It's a gig bag and carefulness for me.
