Can anyone recommend a free website for recording your golf scores. Analysis would be nice GIR, scrambling etc?

Try this one. Have not used it for a couple of years so I'm not sure if they have added any features. Most of the content that you would like to see was free when I last used it...

    www.howdidido.com is what i use. It's 10 or 15 quid per year.

It takes your scores directly from the computer so you don't need to write everything up. You can then embellish your rounds with fairways, GIR etc.

Very detailed stats tools and comparisons to other players in your class etc.

I find it handiest for text and e mail service which tells you where you finished and any changes to your h'cap - often in the evening of the comp.

Other handy feature is that you can check the handicap list of any club. So if you're booking with players you dont know, home or away, you can have a quick check on what people are off (see playing partner thread).

Some of the above is free but you get extras if you pay - not sure which elements are paid but for the sake of a tenner I just paid up.

For analysis to help assess what you need to work on in practice - what's causing bogeys etc I use the attached doc I made myself. I'm not a whiz at excel but it's functional.
