5 series ipod query

    i own a 5 series e60 model bmw with i drive entertainment system , have tried belkin tune cast and itrip to play my ipod through fm stations but always get poor quality reception, anyone any reports on a ipod interface connected to back of stereo or other suggestions welcome thx

    Level of integration (full ipod control or just aux-in) likely depends on the year. I'd presume that aux-in should be straight forward, it is on most e39 5's after september 2002 so E60 should be similar. Just a matter of adding a connector at the back of the stereo (costs €50 ish).

    Have a look using your particular info at www.realoem.com

    For example: http://www.realoem.com/bmw/showparts.do?model=NA32&mospid=47750&btnr=65_1538&hg=65&fg=95 which is the part for a 2004 E60 520i

    Any BMW dealer can supply via part number as given on realoem. In the example above the part number is 65120153502 but if you check with a dealer they can confirm that it will fit your model and year.
