I recentlyjoined the new improved gym in NUIG.I am planning on going 6 days out of 7 every week for about an hour and a half everyday.(45 mins cardio,45 mins Weights.

Usually do 5km on the bike,5km on the elliptical trainer, then the threadmill for two km at 12km(hoping to increase this as I was running at 16km for 4km before I got lazy)
Have been going well the last two weeks.

Have never really done weights before. But have been doing free weights(16kg).I usually do 50 reps of each arm while on the bench.I have never really had upper body strength so am tring to build muscle in my arms.I also do 10 reps of all the weight machines in the gym(can't remember the specific names of them)
Am I doing enough to build muscle?

If you are planning on going 6 days a week, why not split the days in to weight only and cardio only. This will mean you can blast out a serious weights session one day and recovery with a bit of cardio the next day. By doing both everyday is overdoing it, especially if your going 6 days. 1.5 hours is too much and you'll quickly lose interest. By splitting your weights and cardio you can be in and out within an hour. best of luck with it
