What benefit is the CI slot - I'm thinking about adding an additional receiver to my FTA setup and this is not much dearer than the regular FTA receiver. What can i do with the card slot (legally) could i use a sky/setanta card in it for instance ??

Diablo and most cams work fine in the Kaon 570. A sky card will also work in a diablo and a dragon cam in the receiver, but every so oftern the sky card will need to be put into a skybox to update.

A CI slot can be used if you want to use your receiver on a different satellite other than astra 2 (UK FTA channels) to receive pay tv services with a correct viewing card from that package. A cam that goes in the CI slot allows the card to be read. There are different cams on the market, some do all encyptions and others just do one encryption (conax, nagravision, viaccess, Irdeto etc)

I have this receiver also, Its a great box, sensitive tuner.
I got it from hm-sat.de wich is €69 include delivery.
