sorry if i sound like a total eejit..on their site it says:
    Economy Class to/from USA

    Free Baggage Allowance:
    • A maximum of 2 Bags per passenger.
    • A maximum of 36kgs (80lbs) in total weight between two bags when weighed together.
    • Bag Size: One bag at 158 cms/62 ins and a second bag at 140 cms/55ins.
    • Infant baggage allowance is 10kgs (22lbs) in addition to one collapsible stroller.
    • No one bag to weigh more than 32 kgs (70lbs).
    • For Aer Lingus journeys between North America and UK/Europe, the baggage allowance for North America flights will apply to the entire journey within two weeks of initial departure date.
so im just wondering if the following is too big or fine?
    • Size (H)67, (W)46, (D)26cm / (H)25, (W)18, (D)10in.
    • Size (H)56, (W)39, (D)21.5cm / (H)21, (W)15, (D)8in.
im just kinda confused..was lookin on argos and the biggest suitcases they have is the ones i posted above but would a 62inch suitcase not be massive...

If it's under the weight limit then you'll be OK. 36kg is not the limit you should be aiming for though as that is absolute maximum of any bag they will put on the plane, it's probably 20kg for you flight before they will start charging you per KG. If it's an odd shape or too big to make it round the converyor belts then they will just make you carry it across to the oversized bag area after it's been tagged and put it on the belt there instead.

Edit: Maybe that 36kg is the weight limit actually, but if your carrying that much stuff then you have other problems really.

i didn't mean the weight of the bag (im going to try stay well under 36kg and just buy stuff over in the states) but i mean the size of the bag, like
    # Bag Size: One bag at 158 cms/62 ins and a second bag at 140 cms/55ins.

Yeah, just ignore that, they will not be going over it with a tape measure.
