I thought Thomas Jane looked really good in the role, hope Ray Stevenson can pull it off to the same degree.

Did Jane have a massive bust up with the producers?

Did Jane have a massive bust up with the producers?

There was another thread a while back on the subject. Afaik Jane and the director of the first film didn't see eye to eye with the producers, who felt that it was too violent and wanted the second to be a little less on the dark side.

    too violent QUOTE]

    No such thing.

Looks OK but a little too typical action flick for my liking - though, that said, regarding the violence and the Punisher being apparently seen as excessive, I'm pretty sure the director (of Warzone) debunked that claim with promises of lots of bloodshed and headshots....

I'll see this simply because the stars of two of my favourite TV shows are in it:

Dominic West aka Jimmy McNulty from the Wire.
Julie Benz Aka Rita(Dexter's girlfriend) from Dexter.

I have said it before that it just kills me that they dont use the Punisher skull properly.Otherwise he looks like Steven Segal.
I liked thomas Jane but i hated him at the same time. Im not sure about this guy yet. The Punisher in the THQ game looks fantastic though .

Fookin hell, I better disregard my earlier post :pac:

Looks like they're not skimping on the violence after all. Still have my doubts about it though.

Watched it tonight, lots of violence and Ray Stevenson wasn't bad but overall was pretty crap.

    Not bad at all!

A big improvement on the first film and it's non-action. The violence is way over the top, the villain (Jigsaw) is a lot more memorable than Travolta and his "phoned in" performance in the first. There are some quite amusing moments too.

Perfect popcorn cinema in my opinion! very nice colours too.

If you're a The Wire fan Dominic West's performance will make your hair stand up on end.

I had an absolutely ball of a time at this movie. More than any other comic book movie I can think of this one perfectly captures the tone of the comic.

Certainly it's not for everyone, but for fans of the comic, I think they'll be happy.

I liked the first one and they said it was too dark.

Jeebus if that one was dark, then this one was downright blindingly black.

Ok if you want to switch off for an hour and a half.
