Paramount 2 moved

Paramount 2 has moved to 134 on UPC in Dublin.

This might signal the arrival of Paramount+1 to 128 - although seems unusual to have Paramount 2 away from the main channel.....

Only issue I have is that I now have to go past 'Buzz' to get to paramount 2...

Maybe more changes - from Oct 5th major changes with the UKTV channels

They are only renaming the channels like they did with UKTV G2 which was renamed DAVE,eg UKDrama is being re-named Alibi and UKGold is being renamed just Gold.

Its a bit more than that! Gold is becoming 'Watch' - a new channel, While Gold+1 is becoming the new home for 'Gold'

The epg line up is not yet confirmed (see other forums) with a strong rumour that there will now be a +1 version of both 'Watch' and 'Gold'

Unclear if UPC will show both 'Watch' and 'Gold' considering that many of the other UKTV channels are not available on UPC

If they are rebrands of existing channels then I don't see why UPC wont have them.

Exactly it'll just be like when UKTV G2 was renamed and FTN to Virgin 1 .

I would have liked UPC to tell us this some how, I assumed P2 was gone last night. If only they had some sort of central place where information like this could be posted, something accessible to all, maybe some sort of website...

The arrival of paramount +1 is good though.

Brought back from where? It was always on Sky but NTL definitely never had it. Did Chorus?

No, P2 was an added channel.

I think moving P2 was a big conspiracy to make people watch Buzz. There never used to be anything worth watching passed 130 (IMO) now there is. I wish they'd remove Buzz and put a real channel there.

Dave was bizarre alright, they should rename paramount Fraiser!

It must cost a good bit for a name/brand change, I cannot imagine a load of execs sitting in a boardroom going "Of course! Dave is an excellent choice", and then forking out thousands to change it.

I don't think Chorus (UPC) will be getting into the +1 channels cause their older boxes can only take ~100 channels, if they start sending the +1 channels then they'll fix the old boxes.

UK Drama, UK Gold, Dave, Virgin, Par, Para+1 and Para 2 or whatever combination of names they use mostly consist of poor quality repeats anyway. As someone else said Para should just be renamed Frasier. UPC should however move the Bravo channels from the 500 range back to 130 range.

There's two channels between Buzz and P2: if anything it'll be Buzz+1 and then Buzz 2!

Granted not one for saying, but it did what it said on the tin, UK TV Gold 2, you would presume it is showing old UK sitcoms & programs. But Dave?!?

I like the new ads with Top Gear mentioning Dave on it, ripping the piss out of themselves.

I'd like to have the rest of the UKTV channels like Sky have. And trouble, I'd like to have trouble.

I'd gladly take some more channels that are on sky over any +1 channel.
