What is the brotherly opinion on wine? Is it a good beverage in general? Is it best kept to dinner or drinkys situations? Does it quench thirst? Are you a connoisseur or a chugger? Regale and share with us your tales involving wine:D

I like topics ... especially when you get a hazelnut in every bite.

My wife has, I gave her my opinion on a few things earlier.

/edit Not a hazelnut an opinion I mean

We try not to,(so as to appease the brethren) but on some subjects (like wine) we do :D

    See??

    There's a IRL example for ya :)

And if wimmin didn't have opinions then why would Theadydahl have a few crates of wine stashed behind Yore Ma's bar????

Wine is only to be drunk when it is complimentary, with a delicious meal, as a sophisticated warm-up to a night of real manly drinking.

    How about the auld

    1646.jpg

Does this constitute a manly drink, I think so

as long as it is red and drunk in the same sort of quantities as beer, I see no problem with it.

I have a wine glass at home that holds half a bottle of Shiraz at a time.

(I was sent here for being bold)

In my opinion if it is drank with a woman or at dinner it is acceptable. Why!? Because I done it last night and there is nothing non-manly about this hangover :o

None of that 9% **** though, we are talking the proper 12-13% stuff that puts hair on our proud bellies.

As long as its not Rose or sparkling its fine...

Like Steak with a good bottle of red. What more could a man ask for? Well maybe a mrs who agreed that every steak dinner ment it was steak and bj day :p

lol the brothers will love to hear that ;)

I love wine and think it's a perfectly acceptable beverage to drink by the mens, altho perhaps they shouldn't be ordering a small bottle while in the pub, might be a bit ott, but with dinner or when romancing the ladies at home it's perfectly fine ;)

Red wine is class. It makes me so baudy. It is very different from drinking beer. White wine and rose is for girls and men who cross their legs like girls.

It's alchohol FFS, usually about 12-13%! You drink some, fill up your glass, drink some more and hey presto you're pissed. Why some people are afraid of it, and spend their time whining about it I don't know.

Besides, as Lola said, it can have a "relaxing" effect on the wimmins. :D

Exactly. I hate the taste of wine...
I'll drink it in times of desperation and never from a glass.
It works better when the bottle is in a brown paper bag.

I like red wine, it gives me great inspiration. They don't have it down in my local Viking house. :(

Rose wine...might be girly here but it's the local brew in Nice (France) nothing like a bottle of chilled Rose sitting outside in the hot sun

Wine is best when it's been left open for a few days and you can use it as vinegar substitute on your fish supper!

As for white wine, to quote the Pub Landlord, it's (curtsy as you read) "for the ladies"!!!

I have been known to make some very 'relaxed' decisions as a result of my love of sparkling wine!! :p
