    Hi Guys,

I am a little confused and would like your opinion on this. Went out for a few drinks after work last April and ended up being with a friend of one of my colleague. We never exchanged phone number. I asked my work colleague for his number. We went out on 2 dates and had a great time. I text him a couple of times after asking if he wanted to go out again but he said he just wanted to leave it for awhile as he was real busy with work etc. I said that was cool and we parted on good terms. To be honest I was a bit disappointed things never went further but just put it down as experience. However now out of the blue he has text a few times asking how I was, how was the job etc. I was polite and text him back with the usual banter. My confusion is coming from why is he texting all of a sudden. His texts are very casual and no mention of meeting up again or anything. Am I getting mixed signal or is he just being nice. I have told myself he is just texting when he has had a few beers on him. I dont want to ask him out again cause I got the number off his friend and in the end I asked him if he wanted to meet up again. I just dont want to appear to be despartate and doing all the chasing. Not sure what to think?

Kaite - he had his chance, and he blew it - personally i'd ignore his texts. My hunch is that he was either going out with a girl, or didn't get where he wanted to with you quick enough, if you get what I'm saying.
Roll forward, and you become a 'potential' when things don't go well when he's out on the pull.

You'll know when a guy is genuinely interested, and doesn't sound like he is to me, so I wouldn't waste anymore time on him. But I could be wrong - have been before, on a couple of occassions, and spectaculary wrong on a few too.:D

Maybe he is now not so busy and want to gauge your reactions before asking you out again? It could be anything really, only he knows for sure.

go with the flow for a while, he sounds like a nice guy, you had no major bust up with him, maybe he was truly too busy at work to pursue a rel with you in April / May but situations do change, play it cool, i don't think the fact you asked for his number initially is an issue, the fact is he's texting you and not the other way round, also he hasn't asked you for a hook up, he's prob just seeing what's going on in your life best of luck op;)

Just keep texting and see where it goes. He may genuinely have been busy the last time you asked him to meet up, but leave it up to him to ask you out again.

Are all his texts at night time?
