    Hi all,

I can't get the speakers on my laptop to work at the mo.

I've reinstalled the sound drivers, codecs, etc. Their up to the latest version.

Nothing is muted. When I connect external speakers to a headphone jack it works fine, so it's obviously not the soundcard.

    Presume my speakers are shagged??

My dell warranty only expired 2 weeks ago  ....Will have to shell out €90 for another year!

Get in contact with their customer services. They might fix it even though it's outside of warranty.

Make sure to try the drivers from Dell's website, regardless of whether they're the latest ones released. It may also just be a loose connection - seems unlikely that there's anything wrong with the speaker/hardware itself.
