Tallaght to Southside DART

    Hi,

    Anyone any suggestions of how to travel from Tallaght to the Southside DART on public transport?

    well the quickest way would be to get one of the many buses to the city centre and hop on the DART at Tara Steet or get the 75 bus out to Dun Laoghaire. (the 75 is very slow and unreliable)

    Depends on what part of Tallaght, the Luas goes to Connolly...

    forgot about the old LUAS, the last time i had to get to Tallaght was pre-LUAS on the 77 bus **shudders**

    Actually, since the introduction of the revised timetable on the 75 last April, reliability has improved dramatically on that route.

    However, off peak journey time would be about 1 hour 20 mins (they're given 90 mins for the trip) and 1 hour 50 mins at peak (they're given 2 hours for the trip).

    It would still be the best option if you are going to Dun Laoghaire or points south, as the LUAS frequently takes 50 minutes to get to Connolly, then you have a 5/10 minute walk to platform 6/7 and then the travel time on the DART.
