    Good afternoon!

Well anywho i'm currently lifting weights at my local gym. However i don't have a programme so i just do whatever i can get my hands on! And any muscle groups i dont get done one night i focus on them the next night etc.

This way of training is... well for lack of a better word "unpredictable".

Do you guys think i should get my gym to make me a programme? My friend recently got one and it looks ridiculously easy. He's 100kg and a powerhouse yet they have him on weights that i could lift all day...

    Advice anyone?

    (btw i'm 5"11 and 73kg.)

Nah theres plenty of programmes online with a little research you'll find one. What are your goals?5x5 imo is a good general purpose plan, gains in size and strength, and there are many variations to pick from.

T-nation or bodybuilding.com would often be used and are generally good.If you want to get heavier you need to eat a lot more!

First of all, if you are a member of a big commercial gym then the programmes designed are terrible. They basically try to fit in as many pieces of equipment as possible and put 3 sets of 10 beside each one. Secondly if the weights are too light he is allowed to make them as heavy as he wants, trial and error. and using a ROE(rate of exertion) is an excellent way of knowing what weight to use

Nah, it's only my local gym in wicklow town. Hardly commercial. I'll see what sort of a programme they make for me and then post it here.
