hmm satire? ardal is as sharp as a sponge but i guess its being written by morgan and its from teh same people as paths to freedom, stew and spin the bottle.
Ryan recently completed a pilot and is awaiting a decision by RTE on whether a series will be commissioned. The show, entitled This Is NightLive, will be produced by Cillian Fennell, a former producer of The Late Late Show, and co-written with Kara Hanahoe. Its creators describe it as “Colbert meets Brass Eye meets Ireland AM”. Brass Eye, which was written by Chris Morris and screened on Channel 4, was another parody of a current affairs show.

If This Is NightLive is commissioned, RTE will broadcast it five evenings a week from early next year. Ryan will play Johnny Hansom, “a cheesy, vain, dim news anchor”.

    huh?

he won't have to act vain and dim, i know ryan never took himself seriously but he did indulge in the socilaite lifestyles i don't see how he can take the piss out of it.

do we have a jon stewert a steven colbert? somebody with track record of taking the piss intelligently?

maybe if andrew maxwell got a haircut.
    hmm produce by this guyanyway
