villa antiche mura, sorrento

    Hi
    Getting married in positano next year and having reception in sorrento, anyone used villa antiche mura? If so would you recommend it and is it expensive? Any other ideas welcome??

    Hi, we got married in Sorrento last summer & it was beautiful. If I were to go back I would definitely stay at the Antiche Mura without doubt. My best friend stayed there and it was beautiful and near everything. Myself and my husband stayed in the Bristol and found it lovely, but very stuffy. Full of either old people like the Golden Girls, or boring people on their honeymoon. Not for me and i'm not party animal. We had our reception at Photo Bar, Sorrento (check our their website) and I couldn't rave about them enough. Food was out of this world and they were so helpful about everything, nothing was too much trouble. It is a very contemporary place and they display photography in the restaurant and in the back terrace - which we had all to ourselves for the evening. Any questions or anthing give me a shout.

    We honeymooned in Positano. Recommend Restaurant Max wholeheartedly. I had the best crispy prawns I've ever had as a starter and himself the best lasagne, and he's had a lot. Wine menu very extensive and the waiters really lovely.
    Enjoy and have a great time. We had our wedding in Umbria/Tuscany. We gave fans as favours prior to the wedding, as people were waiting on me to arrive and everyone really appreciated them.
