Can anyone tell me the difference between cologne, after-shave and eau de toilette?! I have an idea it has something to do with how strong the smell is but which is the strongest?

think the colognes stronger.eau du toillette has water in it so its weaker the parfum in the girl version.

    could be miles off though

I'm not saying you're wrong, but I was told before that edt was stronger than aftershave, by a woman in a chemist - but I've read conflicting ideas of what is what!

Eau de Toillete is the spray, and is the stronger one so you spray it on your neck. After shave is the one you rub in, it's not aas strong so it doesn't irritate your face. I think cologne is just a general term.

Can you grade perfume according to strength?

From strongest to weakest: Perfume, Eau De Parfum, Eau De Toilette and Eau De Cologne, After Shave being the weakest with the least amount of oils in the fragrance. The higher the concentration of oils the longer your fragrance will last
