Does analogue MMDS still exist anywhere now?

Chorus areas still have it. I'm not sure if its been switched off in any Chorus area, but I understand that its no longer provided to new customers.

What's taking them so long to swap the boxes?

I wonder if UPC are perhaps going slow as they're thinking of standardising on a single platform for MMDS too i.e. ditching the DVB-T boxes that Chorus used for digital MMDS.

I'm sure that a box could be sourced that contained tuners capable of handling DVB-T or DVB-C, quite a few high end TVs have such tuners built in already.

At least that would allow them to cut over to DVB-C in all areas once the boxes were all updated.

I honestly don't see why the boxes couldn't be sent out as almost self-install too. It's just a matter of plugging them in to the cable coming through the wall. There really shouldn't be a need for an engineer visit, a courier would be enough!

Same for cable, they should be able to just dispatch a box unless you need an engineer to visit.
