Breaking: Travis Barker in critical condition - plane crash

This JUST BROKE, so the only source I have right at this moment is Perez Hilton. He writes:

This is heartbreaking! So tragic.

Travis Barker was involved in a fatal private plane crash in Columbia, South Carolina early on Saturday morning, killing four and injuring two.

The former Blink 182 drummer is said to be one of the two injured.

Federal Aviation Administration spokeswoman Kathleen Bergen says the plane carrying six people was departing shortly before midnight Friday when air traffic controllers reporting seeing sparks.

She says the plane went off the runway and crashed on a nearby road.

Bergen says the Lear 60 was headed to Van Nuys, Calif.

She didn't have the names of those killed and didn't know the conditions of the two people injured.

Update: Nooooo!!!!!!!!

We are hearing that D.J. A.M. was also on the plane at the time of the crash.

Please pray to God that he is okay!!!!

Update #2: Travis is in "critical" condition.

He's been transfered to the Agusta, Georgia Burn Center.

Update #3: D.J. A.M. is alive!!!!!

It's a miracle!!!!

We're hearing he is in stable condition but in "shock."

God was with Travis and A.M.!

Of the six people involved in the fatal plane crash, they were the only two that survived!

Harsh. I don't really like the tone of the post though, what's makes Travis and DJ A.M any more important than the others who died on the plane?

Barker and US club DJ Adam Goldstein are being treated for burns.

A spokeswoman for the hospital in Augusta, Georgia, where they are being treated said Barker and Adam Goldstein - also known as DJ AM - were both in a critical condition.

Not a fan of his music but sorry to hear it. Good luck to him.

Apparently as the plane was attempting to take off it veered off the runway and crashed.. Proabably a good thing it didn't actually get off the ground but it was probably going at some serious speed!

Noticed that as well, this Perez guy seems like a right dick.

Beth Frits, spokeswoman at the Joseph Still Burn Center, in Augusta, Georgia, said Barker and Goldstein arrived at the hospital early Saturday. She said both men had "extensive burns."

William Owens told WIS-TV he was driving down Highway 302 when he said he saw a fireball go across the road.

"I didn't know what I had seen -- it was maybe 800 feet in front of me, but as I approached it closer though, I made out a fire. By then I was able to see the tail of the jet and I recognized it as a jet," Owens said.

Owens told the station he tried to get to the wreckage.

"It's in flames and the fuel is running across the road and I had to cross the fuel to get to the two guys that seemed to have been dumped on the highway," Owens said.

Owens told WIS-TV the two men were running around and pulling off clothing to put out the flames. He said he asked them if anyone else was on board the plane and they said four people were with them.

"We turned to the jet to try and see if there was anything we could do, but immediately, there was nothing anyone could do," Owens said.

Read the post again... I dunno about you, but the last two paragraphs seem completely indifferent to the fact that four lives were lost.

Big fan of Travis Barker so this is a real shock, I wish him and the remaining survivor a swift recovery.

To be fair, DJ AM is actually a 'friend' of his.

according to doctors, barker and AM are expected to make a full recovery....could take a year or so though. one of those dead is barkers assistant, who leaves behind a wife and two year old son.
