    Hi,

I have a cable box and want to connect it up to my Dell Monitor to use it as a TV. How do I (as cheaply as possible!) go about doing this?

If necessary, I could connect it to my computer (also Dell), but I'm struggling to find any concrete solution on the net...

You could use a tv card like this one Click Here to capture the analog composite video signal from your cable box and display it on you monitor. It should also let you use the pc as a video recorder etc.

I'm moving your thread to the HTPC forum, some of the folks there should be able to advise you with further details etc.

So how would I connect to the computer with a tv tuner? With a standard aeriel cable?

Would the picture depend on how fast my computer is?
