Sharing External HDD on Home Network

We have a small home network. Connected to one laptop we have an external hard drive which I can share with the other computers on the network - only problem is each time the laptop is restarted I have to select the harddrive and choose "share" - is there a way of permanently sharing it? i.e. automatically when starting.…
