Plastic Surgery - Ears ???

I've always hated my ears for being on the large side and sticking out a fair bit..... Recently though I've considered biting the bullet and getting them sorted so they no longer bother me every time I see my reflection and I don't have to keep my hair longish etc. to hide them or whatever :(

I think they'd be fine if they were left the same size and pinned in a bit so don't think it would be a big procedure.

    - Anyone got any advice or personal experience re. getting this done?

Would love to hear recommendations for where or who to go to, the total cost and also the recovery time involved as I heard you've to wear large bandages for a few weeks ???

    I'm male by the way.

I had my ears pinned back after about 10 years on an NHS waiting list. I was happy with the work although it did require wearing a bandage around my head for about a week. I was very conscious of my sticking out ears so I know how you feel.

I'm nearly sure there was an article on this subject in one of the Sunday newspapers (it brought memories back). It said it was a day procedure (I think i was in for about 2 or 3 days) and there is an organisation in the UK and the website might answer some question for you. Think it is BAAPS.org.uk or something like that.

    Good luck with it.
