Slow PS3 downloads with Chorus

Hi all,

I am having trouble with my PS3 downloads on my Chorus broadband connection. Downloads are extremly slow on my 20meg connection.
Using speedtest I can see that the PS3 is only using 1/20th of the
20meg connection. I have tested the connection on my PC at the same
time and I almost get the full 20meg. I have tried connecting the PS3
directly to my cable modem to rule out a problem with my router but
the speeds are the same. I have tried at different times during the day
and the connection in consistently slow from the PS3. I brought the PS3 into
work and connected it to a different broadband connection and the speeds were
much better.

Is anyone else experiencing problems with their downloads on Chorus?

I don't think it's Chorus necessarily.

There are several threads on the PSN forums regarding slow download times.

I think it's more to do with the Sony servers than with the ISPs.

I tend to do my downloads late and leave them running overnight.

Yeah I saw the threads on the PSN forums.

What's confusing me though is the fact that the speeds were much better in work (connection speed is 6meg).

It could just be the servers I guess.

mine is the exact same also. that said as long as online games run smoothly i wont complain too much
