    Recently looked into fishing for spring salmon on the drownes for a week anybody have an experience of it catch anything there?

    best baits?
    Rigs?
    Flys?
    Spinners?

    all help greatly appreciated say i have got every other fish in irish waters but the Salmon still eludes me :(

    I go there on January 1st every year for the sake of being there!
    Haven't caught a fresh one yet but will keep trying.

    You can use any bait - shrimp, worm, fly or spin - they all work equally well. Some stretches of water are more suited to fly, some to spin etc.

    He has a half decent website, can't remember the url though.
