Do Quinn insurance quotes fluctuate in price?

I entered the details of a few bikes I was window shopping into the Quinn Direct website a few times over the last few weeks and the quotes were around the same figure, give or take a couple of euro. The same goes for quotes by phone. But over the last two days their online system quoted me €350 less for a bike using the same details I had used previously. But today the quote went up by €410. I am wondering do Quinn Direct online quotes fluctuate in price much like the price of airline tickets, or was it more than likely an error in the system?

Btw it's not a bike I want to buy, I am a little curious to reason behind the large drop and sudden hike in price over night?

    too damn right they do.

They just hoiked wife's renewal by Eur 250. Why would you waste someone's time quoting them 700, when you'd just told them you had a quote from Hibernian for Eur 450?

    Complete and utter bunch of....whatever........

You don't want to acknowledge that as truth because, deep down in places you don't talk about at the Green Party, you want me on that road, you need me on that road. We use words like freedom, enjoyment, sport and community. We use these words as the backbone of a life spent instilling those values in our families and loved ones. You use them as a punch line. I have neither the time nor the inclination to explain myself to a man who rises and sleeps under the tax revenue and the very freedom to spend it that I provide, and then questions the manner in which I provide it. I would rather you just said "thank you" and went on your way. Otherwise I suggest you pick up a bus pass and get the ********* ********* off the road”

ive often found that they give you a good price to get your custom then give you a high renewal price the second year because they now that most people wont bother shopping around to change company

You're assuming there's actually any kind of methodical approach to their quoting system...fail.

they've got a calculator blue-tac'd to the wall in the office that they throw a tennis ball at to generate quotes

Tried to increase my premium actually..told them I wouldn't renew it, then took out a new policy with them the next day. 300 euro savings :D

There is currently a 500 euro difference between my current premium and the premium if I was to take out the policy now  That is some fluctuation.

I got a quote from quinn recently which seemed very high so I asked them to quote me on the same model car as I currently have insured with them (for €340) and they quoted me €780!
