Have to turn Xbox off and back on again to play!

How's it goin? Have a 20g Xbox just over a year now. When I turn it on, more often than not it won't boot up properly. Have to turn it off and back on again. It doesn't red-ring or anything, although it has done a few times. No problem playing games or anything, just a bit of a hassle to be doing this the whole time.

    Anyone any advice? Cheers.

Happened one of mine once. It eventually died of GPU failure. No warning lights or error codes, just plain died. If it's really wrecking your head give MS a ring cause you will be prolly ringing them soon unfortunately by the sounds of it!

    Thanks for the quick response!

Only problem is, it's pretty much been like this since I got it. Only really bothered about it since I read all the horror stories on here and got thinking about the 3 year warranty. I might give MS a buzz.

sorry to break it you dude but the dreaded ring of death is only a matter of time.if you have it just over year i would chance bringing back for an exchange. i got the ring of death a few months back EXACTLY one year to the day after i bought it, gamestop replaced without quibble. i heard that microsoft extended all warranties to 3 years in light of all the breakdowns so return it pronto-its gonna go kapput anyway.
