    Hello,

Need advice & some suggestions for wedding afters. No date set yet but was just hung up on a potential problem with the afters. Basically I cant imagine having more than 50-60 people invited to the wedding & afters. Im worried that a hotel reception hall will be to big or over the top for 50-60 people. Anyone else ever in this situation before & how did you get around it. So wedding ideas for a small wedding would be great.

    Thanks all

For those types of numbers you don't need a function room, a restaurant would proberly be perfect, see if you could book 1 for an evening, the meal will cost pretty much the same amount and they may supply table service for drinks, I've been at a wedding like that before and it was a great night

    Heya,

Some hotels have smaller finction rooms that would be available. I was worried about the same thing, only want 70-80 people max at our wedding, the hotel we picked has a large room, for 300+ people, and a smaller one for under 100 people.

Apart from the hotel/restaurant option, you could always look in to hiring a venue, such as a castle, stately home, etc. and find one that would suit your needs. Or even a large garden and a canopy could suit!

Either way, best of luck, and remember, Google is your friend.

    Hi,

I had 70 people at my wedding and held it in Slane Castle castle. It was the ideal size and I would recommend it highly! Don't worry if you think that's a small number.... My guests said that it was the best wedding they were at because of the numbers and the intimacy in the castle.
