This has got to stop, I've closed a number of threads today because they had degenerated into silly chatter. From now on, I'll be handing out one week bans as well.

Hi Cidvef,

I completly respect your decision to close certain threads, a little disappointed in relation to the one I started as its an important one and although I too went off topic and apologies for this, I hadn't considered it to be that bad.

Sometimes through light banter it can bring the subject back on track. But again I completly respect and suport your decision, its not an easy task to moderate such a site and again apologies for any further difficulity I may of caused.:o

There is a total boards-wide obsession with on-topicness.

But you should just remove the off-topic posts if it worries you that much.

It's not fair on the OP of these threads to have them closed if they're not responsible for them going off-topic.
