    Its the first time for me that I've heard of one possibly faulty but its very possible.
    Have you had it long?
    Are you transferring files that have been saved for a drive in fat16/32 format to a NFFS formatted drive? (just trying to narrow down the possibilities)

    Have you run any third party software utilities to analyse the stick?

    I would just get a new one - 1GB memory sticks are dirt cheap.

    Try this;

    Connect your memory card to the computer, then go to My Computer and note the drive letter e.g. "e:"
    Start > Run > Type "cmd", hit enter.
    You'll get a black window, then type this lot in.
    chkdsk e: /f
    This should fix any errors on the disk, try reconnect the memory stick, if that fails buy a new one there cheap!
