    Hey,

Looks like ive done damage to my cruicate so after my summer of hard training, im gona be on the sidelines for up to 9 months. Have a scan on saturday but already seeing myself gain weight rapidly. I know ive really to cut back my diet as Im not training now up to 5 days a week.

What Im looking for is a change of programme. Looking for an upperbody programme just to keep me going for a while. Need to keep pressure off my leg, so want to avoid things like bent over row ect.

Will have about 4 nights a week. Just trying to stay in some sort of shape while im off my legs. Any recomendations?

6'3, around 92kgs, workd off of starting strengh for the last few months with the odd extra thing added in.

From someone who tore their own ACL its not the best idea to stay off your feet for two long as the muscle wastage will in the long run be negative towards your overall recovery!
If the injury was recent as in less than 6 weeks ago then rest it for sure and keep it elevated and compress the injury and use ice packs on it!
But you should also in the longer term be thinking about building up your quads and hams and calfs the stronger your legs muscles the more protected your knee becomes!
To start with you should get on an excercise bike and start off nice and light working up through the restance as you feel comfortable!
