    I watched Beaches with the missus last night for the first time. After hearing everyone who's seen it banging on about how much of a tear-jerker it is, i was gearin myself up for a few tears, but..............nothing, i didn't find it remotly upsetting, i mean, come on, i cried at the end of Armegeddon!!:(

    I remember when we were moving house one time, we only had the one TV working. There were two movies on. This and Gross Anatomy.

    I had seen Gross Anatomy and really enjoyed it. But the parents took "control" of the TV and thus we had to watch Beaches

    I remember looking at my Dad thinking "Why Dad why? You know this movie is ****"
    I then realized the power of my mother and how he had no choice but to watch it too.

    This movie is a reminder of my dad giving up all hope and succumbing to bette middler and all her unholy heart-tugging bull****.

    **** you bette middler!
