    Hey all

I found an unopened letter for parking fine yeterday whcih i received back in APril and i never opened )(it got lost in a lot of junk mail!) It was for €40 and now if I pay it'll be €80. I never got a ticket on my car and i dont even think i was driving the car that day as I was trying to sell my car and gave it to a buyer for a test drive and i'm convinced they parked illegally and took the ticket off the car and said nothing to me. I couldnt fill out the section to say i wasnt the driver as a)im not sure and b)i dont have name or address for person who was (they obvioulsy didnt give me their details as they didnt buy the car). I was wondering, will I get a reminder letter and if i do, what should i do? And also, how long do the gardai have to prosecute for unpaid fine? I heard a year and a day?? I'm worried as i dont have the money to pay this, i never got a ticket on my car and im convinced I wasnt driving hte car that day...

    Help!:o

They have six months to apply for a summons from the date of the offence
