    Can I get a sterling account in Ireland ? If so who supports it ? I have a bunch of sterling. FX is **** - want to hold onto it for a few years.

    Yes, most banks do it. Normally needs a minimum amount to open.

    Anglo Irish do sterling accounts in Ireland as far as I know. Northern Rock probably do too.
